Enseimada St CRISTO angel hair .

Made from Siamese squash fiber or candied pumpkin. This filling, not very sweet and slightly fruity, is used in various Spanish and Portuguese desserts. The dough is braided or rolled into a spiral, then stuffed with angel hair jam before to be cooked until it obtains a nice golden color.

To add a final touch of sweetness, it is sprinkled with icing sugar before serving.

Highly prized for its subtle flavors and its texture that is both light and deliciously flaky, it goes well with a cup of coffee or tea.
